The following results, also from the 30th Wisconsin Infantry, come from the November 11, 1862, La Crosse Democrat, Brick Pomeroy’s newspaper. Pomeroy’s math leaves a little to be desired. You may remember that he promised a free copy of the newspaper to all of the soldiers and their families in the 30th and that he would print information about the 30th. Companies A, D, and F are from the Saint Croix Valley, plus I and K also have men from the Valley.
